FRISONA
Origin: Northern Netherlands and Germany

The Friesian is a dual-purpose breed raised for both milk and beef, although today it is primarily bred for dairy production throughout Spain and Europe. Tall and angular in build, these cattle are typically slaughtered at around 10 years of age.
What Makes Friesian Beef Unique?
Colour: Dark red meat with yellow fat and a relatively thick fat cover. It has moderate intramuscular fat marbling. Its ideal ageing period is 30–60 days.
Marbling: Moderate. This is a leaner beef, with fat concentrated more on the outside than within the muscle.
Flavour: Intense and well-balanced, with a meatier character and notes of toasted fat and cream.
Texture: Firm yet slightly more tender thanks to its greater muscle development. A long-lasting, flavoursome finish.
